Crystal Clear Celebrate 30 Years of Excellence
A major landmark has been passed by one of our Conservatory Outlet Network members, as Crystal Clear Home Improvements celebrates its 30th anniversary.
The Hamilton-based business, led by Robert Sinclair, reached the coveted triple-decade of trading in late 2019, having built a reputation as one of the leading providers of home improvement solutions north of the border.
First established in 1989 by a then 21-year-old Robert, Crystal Clear in its earliest incarnation was originally a fabrication business, manufacturing aluminium products and selling them on to trade.
Forging the path for similar businesses in the region, Robert and his team of trailblazers began to make the switch towards uPVC throughout the 90’s and early 2000’s, even selling directly to homeowners in certain cases.
Turnover and profit continued to increase at a rapid rate in the years that followed, before Crystal Clear took the bold step to join the Conservatory Outlet Network in 2015. The shift to the network saw Robert and his team dive head-first into the supply and fit market, moving away from fabrication entirely.
The company’s Hamilton showroom, which was acting as both a manufacturing base and showroom at the time, was revamped as Crystal Clear began its assault on the retail sector. The upgraded facility quickly became one of the most impressive in Scotland, further setting Crystal Clear apart from competitors.
Buoyed by Conservatory Outlet’s state-of-the-art home improvement products, and with Robert still very much at the helm, Crystal Clear recorded its highest ever sales figures in the company’s 30th year of trading.
Where so much has gone into making Crystal Clear the business it is today, Robert puts the success down to two simple characteristics:
