Class 1 & 2 Drivers

 

If you are looking for a role where you can utilise your skills, knowledge and experience and focus on the delivery of a quality product, then you could be perfect for this role.

Following unprecedented growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Driver who will be predominately driving Class 2 vehicles. However, you will be required to drive a Class 1 vehicle when required.  You will take pride in your work and ensure the timely delivery of a quality product to our retail network. 

You will be focused on meeting deadlines, with a strong desire to achieve customer satisfaction. You will be highly motivated, with a “can-do” approach, enthusiastic and committed. You will know what it takes to achieve targets – and you’ll have the motivation to get results.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday with early morning starts and the possibility of at least 2 overnight stays per week. We offer fantastic opportunities to progress in a forward-thinking company.

Role Responsibilities

  • To deliver and collect uPVC doors, windows, conservatories, solid roofs, ancillary items to our network of dealers across the country, ensuring all goods are delivered in a timely and efficient manner and goods arrive in a quality condition
  • To provide first-class customer service to our dealerships when delivering and collecting products
  • To ensure that all Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to
  • To ensure that all Tachograph rules and Working Time regulations are adhered to
  • To ensure fully compliant and conversant with transport legislation

Who We're Looking For

  • Class 1 and Class 2 driving experience with driver CPC
  • A full clean driving license would be advantageous
  • Sound knowledge of driving hours, tachographs and working time legislation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a strong team player who can work on own initiative, with a can-do attitude and effective time management
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with employees and customers and work effectively with others
  • A willingness to undertake further training with the ability to implement learning into your daily work

Service Engineer

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Service Engineer to be responsible for resolving any issues which customers may have with our products.

You must be able to provide excellent customer service, be an ambassador of our Company, with a positive outlook and a strong focus on doing the right thing for the customer, creating win-wins and displaying energy and tenacity.

A flexible approach to working hours with the willingness to travel across the UK, overnight stays will be required.

Role Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for resolving manufacturing or fitting issues with our windows, doors, composite doors, patios and bi-folds
  • To provide excellent customer service
  • To provide written documentation of the outcome of the service call detailing if a second visit is required
  • To be responsible for ensuring quality work is always carried out
  • To support Customer Services to assist with resolving production issues as and when required

Who We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in all aspects of window, door and bi-fold manufacturing, including the fitting of doors and windows
  • The ability to fit any miscellaneous hardware or fittings that may be required such as handles, hinges, glazing, letterboxes etc
  • Excellent product knowledge with good problem-solving skills and the ability to identify cost-efficient solutions to problems
  • Good customer service skills with the ability to apply a calm and polite approach when dealing with dissatisfied customers
  • A clean driving license
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate both verbally and written
  • A self-motivated individual who has a can-do approach to work with the ability to get the job done in the required timescales
  • A willingness to undertake further training with the ability to implement learning into your daily work

Customer Services Assistant

Role Responsibilities

  • Working with internal and external departments to resolve our customer’s queries, and identify resolution of customer problems
  • To respond to email and telephone communication in a timely, friendly, professional and efficient manner
  • To develop your product knowledge, keep up to date with product developments and offer customer advice to the resolution of their queries
  • To obtain and analyse all relevant information, dealing with product and service inquiries in accordance with the company guidelines
  • Communicate on a regular basis with customers, keeping the customer up to date with developments and problems and checking the customer is happy with our service
  • To deliver an exceptional customer experience

Who We're Looking For

  • Previous experience of customer service in a manufacturing environment with relevant product knowledge would be an advantage, however, full training will be provided;
  • The ability to resolve challenging and conflicting issues, and priorities is a must;
  • You must be able to work on your own initiative, identifying the appropriate course of action and applying a logical thought process;
  • Strong admin skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages; 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop good working relationships with our customers;
  • Confident and professional telephone manner;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • A highly motivated individual with a can-do approach to work and the ability to “Make it happen”.

Stock Controller / Administrator

We are recruiting a Yard Stock Controller, you will be responsible for the administrator and report on the stock position of the business to key stakeholders. You will understand and implement the full process of the Yard, ordering products, receiving deliveries, booking in stock; issuing out stock, profile checking and managing the completion of monthly stock takes within deadlines set.

Role Responsibilities

  • To oversee and implement updated procedures for issuing out stock within the Factory and Yard ensuring items are picked in a timely and efficient manner working closely with the Production Team to identify any stock shortages
  • Administrating and liaising with suppliers and transport companies to diarise and book materials being supplied
  • To implement a robust stock control system, maintain correct stock levels and ensure no shortages arise
  • To manage and liaise with purchasing and suppliers on goods inwards discrepancies and returns where applicable
  • To control, track and issue works orders to the picking team, prioritising the requirements alongside set production requirement dates
  • To develop, assess, update and maintain all SOPs and risk assessments within the Yard
  • To manage monthly stock take counts, ensure that stock take sheets/tablets are prepared and issued promptly and the completed sheets/tablets are returned to the Purchasing Department
  • To work closely with the Yard Manager and Head of Purchasing to ensure all stock levels are kept up to date and stock levels are continuously updated to reflect the business needs
  • To coach and mentor staff team, initiating, coordinating and enforcing company systems, policies and procedures

Who We're Looking For

  • Experience of the window industry with sound working knowledge and experience of working in a similar role in a fast-moving company
  • Experience in monitoring stock levels and able to implement new initiatives and effective processes to manage products and timescales
  • Strong people management skills; an assertive, confident individual who can manage a team and gain respect from colleagues with the ability to coach, mentor and motivate the staff team
  • To be fully competent in all areas Yard, with the ability to identify and develop and manage process improvement through attention to detail
  • Strong leadership skills, with excellent planning, organisational, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Yard experience would be an advantage but not essential

Tohid is a Project Specialist here at Conservatory Outlet, working in our IT Department. During his time with us so far, he's developed his skills and grown to be a vital member of the Conservatory Outlet team.

Ben was drawn to working at Conservatory Outlet due to his role's scope for development and variety. He's seized that opportunity with both hands and since joining us an apprentice has become a full-time members of our Purchasing Department.

Career Spotlight: Craig Taberner

Since joining Conservatory Outlet, Craig Taberner hasn't stopped learning or striving for quality. Now a Production Supervisor, he's is responsible for ensuring newcomers to the manufacturing team have that same mindset,  drive for continuous improvement and desire to make class-leading products.
