Class 1 & 2 Drivers

Following unprecedented growth, we are looking to recruit experienced Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers.  You will take pride in your work and ensure the timely delivery of a quality product to our retail network.  If you are looking for a role where you can utilise your skills, knowledge and experience and focus on the delivery of a quality product, then you could be perfect for this role.

You will be focused on meeting deadlines, with a strong desire to achieve customer satisfaction. You will be highly motivated, with a “can-do” approach, enthusiastic and committed. You will know what it takes to achieve targets – and you’ll have the motivation to get results.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday with early morning starts and the possibility of at least two overnight stays per week. 

Role Responsibilities

  • To deliver and collect uPVC doors, windows, conservatories, solid roofs, ancillary items to our network of dealers across the country, ensuring all goods are delivered in a timely and efficient manner and goods arrive in a quality condition
  • To provide first-class customer service to our dealerships when delivering and collecting products
  • To ensure that all Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to
  • To ensure that all Tachograph rules and Working Time regulations are adhered to
  • To ensure fully compliant and conversant with transport legislation

Who We're Looking For

  • Class 1 and Class 2 driving experience with driver CPC
  • A full clean driving license would be advantageous
  • Sound knowledge of driving hours, tachographs and working time legislation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a strong team player who can work on their own initiative, with a can-do attitude and effective time management
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with employees and customers and work effectively with others
  • A willingness to undertake further training with the ability to implement learning into your daily work

Production Fabricators

You will be focused on meeting deadlines, with a strong desire to achieve customer satisfaction. You will be highly motivated, with a “can-do” approach, enthusiastic and committed. You will know what it takes to achieve targets – and you’ll have the motivation to get results.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday working a rotating shift pattern of 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm at our Wakefield manufacturing facility. We offer fantastic opportunities to progress in a forward-thinking company.

Role Responsibilities:

  • To provide excellent quality manufacturing of uPVC windows, doors and aluminium
  • To focus on producing a quality product, in line with the production plan, ensuring targets are met and customer delivery is on time and in full
  • To make sure your work is completed in line with the work instruction and standard operating procedures
  • To follow and be responsible for the Health & Safety guidelines and regulations
  • To assist your colleagues, team leaders and supervisors in resolving production queries when required
  • To work with the production team to develop ideas for continuous improvement
  • To work as part of a team and develop positive working relationships

Who We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience of fabricating uPVC windows, doors or aluminium products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment would be an advantage;
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to understand and follow work instructions;
  • Previous experience of using appropriate tools for the measuring and building of products;
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to achieve targets;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;

Yard Manager

Job Type: Permanent

You will be responsible for running and managing a busy yard. You will implement the full processes and procedures, with a strong focus on health and safety and a disciplined and organised approach. You will be responsible for the safe movement of goods around the site, unloading and organising goods received systematically and methodically, maintaining an organised and tidy yard at all times.

Your role will include receiving deliveries, booking in stock; issuing out stock, profile checking and managing the completion of monthly stock takes within deadlines set.

You will demonstrate the ability to “Make it Happen”, with excellent project management, planning, execution, communicating and organising skills.

You will develop and embed safe systems of work, be a strong team manager, be customer-focused and take ownership of ensuring products are in the right place at the right time to meet the needs of production.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage all Yard operations and ensure compliance with Health and Safety
  • Ensure the Yard Personnel always keep the yard clean and tidy
  • Maintain an optimal level of customer service and assist to resolve customer issues
  • Manage all customer and company staff in all yard operations
  • Ensure all yard staff are fully trained in the safe movement of products, implementing and adhering to safe work procedures
  • Oversee and implement updated procedures for issuing out stock within the Factory and Yard ensuring items are picked in a timely and efficient manner working closely with the Production Team to identify any stock shortages
  • To implement a robust stock control system and ensuring that the correct stock levels are maintained to ensure no shortages arise
  • To develop, assess, update and maintain all SOPs and risk assessments within the Yard
  • To manage monthly stock take counts, ensure that stock take sheets/tablets are prepared and issued promptly and the completed sheets/tablets are returned to the Purchasing Manager
  • To work closely with the Head of Purchasing to ensure all stock levels are kept up to date and stock levels are continuously updated to reflect the business needs
  • To coach and mentor staff team, initiating, coordinating and enforcing company systems, policies and procedures
  • Monitoring the unloading and movement of materials to ensure safe transfer to other areas
  • Coordinate with other departments and investigate accidents and identify the root cause
  • Monitor and manage the performance of the team

Who We're Looking For:

  • A focused, organised individual with a strong knowledge of safe working practices, ensuring all team members remain focused on health and safety and the safe movement of material around the site
  • A strong, disciplined, experienced Yard Manager
  • Experience in the window industry would be an advantage
  • Sound working knowledge and experience of working in a similar role in a fast-moving company
  • Solid Yard experience with the ability to implement new initiatives and effective processes to manage products and timescales
  • Strong people management skills; an assertive and confident individual who can manage a team and gain respect from colleagues with the ability to coach, mentor and motivate the staff team
  • Excellent project management skills, from planning, implementing to execution
  • To be fully competent in all areas, identify, develop and manage process improvement through attention to detail
  • Strong leadership skills, with excellent planning, organisational, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent IT skills

Yard Operative/FLT Driver

We are recruiting a Yard Operative with an FLT Counterbalance licence to support the manufacturing of a quality product to our retail network.

You will be working outside in our yard where you will be responsible for the day to day movement of stock products and moving products between departments. You will be highly motivated, with a “can-do” approach, enthusiastic and committed.

You will know what it takes to achieve targets – and you will have the motivation to get results.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday between 6am and 6pm, dependent on the needs of the factory.

Role Responsibilities:

  • To check deliveries and move products between departments ensuring the factory have the right amount of stock in the right place at the right time
  • Working outside in a busy yard environment loading and unloading lorries
  • To move goods packed on stillage’s, pallets or crates around the yard facility
  • To stack goods in the correct location bays
  • To be responsible for the recycling of rubbish including baling
  • To work with various machines, including, counterbalance trucks, side loading trucks and pallet lifting equipment

Who We're Looking For:

  • You must have a valid, current Counterbalance license
  • It will be advantageous to also have a valid Combi Lift license
  • Excellent attention to detail with great organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak with colleagues, managers and customers
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a strong team player who can work on own initiative with a can-do attitude with effective time management
  • Strong Health and Safety knowledge
  • A willingness to undertake further training with the ability to implement learning into your daily work

We are recruiting a Warehouse Operative to support the manufacturing of a quality product to our retail network. You will ensure that all vehicles are loaded and prepared for the following day's deliveries. You will have a positive outlook with a strong focus on doing the right thing for the customer, creating win-wins and display energy and tenacity.

You will know what it takes to achieve targets – and you will have the motivation to get results.
