Eight members of the Conservatory Outlet team are currently undertaking a Level 5 ILM Diploma for Leaders and Managers, in line with the companies Pathway to Excellence programme.
The staff members began the qualification earlier this year, in partnership with Brook Consultancy and the companies training provider, Peach Orator.
The qualification see’s the team attend a monthly group training masterclass across the two-year course, in addition to further one-to-one coaching and mentoring. Each stage of the training is tailormade to the individual’s role within Conservatory Outlet, with workplace observations and witness testimony forming a key part of the assessment.
The management training qualification comes on the back of a hugely successful year for Conservatory Outlet’s apprenticeship scheme, which has successfully trained and developed a number of key members of the company’s workforce.
A total of 3 apprentices began training at Conservatory Outlet in 2019, marking the end of a record year for the company.
Conservatory Outlet’s Head of HR, Karen Starkey, said she was delighted to be able to offer training opportunities like this to staff members:
“We worked incredibly hard to find a course that was predominantly work related, as opposed to being classroom-based. We didn’t see the value in going over old ground with the guys, instead, we wanted to add genuine value to their roles and give them skills they could use throughout their career.
“It’s been a significant investment from the company, and a practical example of our ongoing commitment to the development of our staff. We look forward to offering similar courses to our team throughout 2020.”
