Aimed at those who are looking to further their careers in manufacturing, the event drew a healthy crowd with people coming from across the Wakefield area to learn more about the company, the manufacturing processes, and speak with various company representatives.

“The Careers Day was a fantastic success,” said Caroline Mellor, HR Business Partner at Conservatory Outlet.

“I’d like to thank everybody who attended the event and gave up part of their weekend to discover what makes Conservatory Outlet one of Wakefield’s leading employers.

“It was great to talk to a wide range of people about the company, the roles that we have available, and their personal career aims. From the get-go, we had a steady stream of people and it was brilliant to see people’s interest in learning about our company, products and the home improvements sector as a whole.”

The Careers Day was organised in response to Conservatory Outlet’s ongoing expansion plans and the need to employ more production staff to meet demand from its nationwide network of retail partners.

There was plenty of interest in the event as local publications such as the Wakefield Express and Yorkshire Post ran features on the recruitment drive. Alongside this, a social media campaign created further awareness and helped advertise the open day to the public.

Caroline also thanked West Yorkshire Windows for their hospitality, adding: “West Yorkshire Windows is a company that we’ve enjoyed a close relationship with for 15 years now and we’d like to thank them for allowing us to use their showroom for the event.

“Everybody who we spoke to found it extremely beneficial to see the products that we manufacture and how they look in real-world settings and installations.”
