Our Manufacturer Scrappage Scheme
We’ve partnered with our supply chain to ensure every old window and door we remove from your home is recycled. What does this mean for you?
Thanks to our new Scrappage Scheme, we now receive direct savings per window recycled from our upstream supply chain, which is passed directly on to our Premium Retailer Network, who, in turn, pass those savings on to you. It could amount to a significant saving on an average house full of windows, and you get the added reassurance that your old windows are being disposed of responsibly.
Happy bank balance, happy planet.

How does it work?
150,000. That’s, on average, how many windows we manufacture every year.
For every new window that needs to be installed, an old one needs to be removed. And every window from every home can be recycled.
UPVC, glass and metal can all be recycled, and they each have a value. Being part of a more efficient supply chain means £££ savings – and we’re proud to be able to pass those savings on to our Network of Premium Retailers, to keep your prices to a minimum. No gimmicks or fake ‘grant funding’ schemes. Just straight-forward, transparent cost efficiencies.
Quite simply, as well as being good for the planet, it just makes smart sense for us, our Premium Retailers and for you!

What happens to your old windows?
UPVC is super versatile. Through our supply chain’s manufacturing scheme, your old windows are collected from our Network of Premium Retailers and taken back to base. The UPVC is then broken into small pieces, processed into its purest form (over 99% pure) and reintroduced back into the manufacturing process. It can also be used to produce other new items such as plastic pipes and insulation.
The glass is also fantastically recyclable and is used for a whole host of products, including new glazed units. Clever and innovative processes from our upward supply chain have allowed them to come up with creative solutions for including a proportion of recycled material in the production of all our new windows & doors.

How can you be sure?
At Conservatory Outlet, we believe in full transparency and want you to be confident in our claims that we’re committed to helping the environment.
Your local Premium Retailer will be able to show you full traceability of the end-of-life UPVC and glass recycled by our supply chain, with official certification showing the materials have been handled safely and responsibly.
Just ask one of their friendly advisors. They’ll be happy to help and explain everything in detail.

Is this a Government-backed scrappage scheme?
No, this is simply Conservatory Outlet’s gift to you. An efficient and responsible supply chain means that our Network of Premium Retailers can pass our direct recycled savings on to homeowners. High-quality, responsibly produced windows at a fair price. You can’t say simpler than that.
Just for clarity, there is currently no Government Grant or Government Funded Scheme for the recycling of old, or the purchasing of new windows.
If you see any claims out there to the contrary, they are false.
