The Simple Beauty of French Doors

The elegance and simplicity of French doors means they can be found in many different styles of home. Beautiful to look at, French doors are also incredibly versatile; allowing natural light to flood into your home without you having to sacrifice on warmth or safety. They also help to create an ideal transition from the interior to the exterior of your home.

As a leading manufacturer of French doors in the UK with a network of country-wide retailers, we are able to turn a simple doorway into a beautiful and practical entrance. The vast expanse of double or triple glazed glass available in both singular and multiple panes of glass ensures maximum sunlight enters your home. Not only does this brighten up your home, but it also helps to create a sense of spaciousness, even when the doors are closed.

French Doors for Every Home & Purpose

Like all the doors in our various ranges, our patio doors come in a huge variety of colours and finishes to complement and enhance the look of your home. For our incredible selection of UPVC French doors, you even have the option of choosing different colours for the inside and outside of the same door. This ensures that your new door will perfectly match both the interior and exterior of your home at the same time.

French doors are a stylish way of opening up your home…

A french door works in the same way as a conventional residential door but crucially channels twice as much light into your home and, when required, provides double the access and ventilation of a standard hinged door which is ideal during social gatherings or periods of hot weather. Traditionally synonymous with outdoor patios and decked areas a french door can also be used internally to connect a kitchen, living or dining room with the new orangery or conservatory indoor space.

Price and value are not the same thing when looking for french doors…

Locking handles come as standard on double opening french doors making the completely suitable as a barrier between the outdoors and indoors and, if the doors are likely to be subject to strong and gusty winds you can opt for restrictor hinges which will prevent them from dangerously swinging open or shut which could cause damage to property of harm to people and pets.

External or Internal

French doors are equally ideal for internal installation to separate the main house from the conservatory or orangery, for instance, facilitating both a grand and practical entrance which will enable you to easily move furniture in and out of each room during special occasions. The glass area of french doors will also channel natural daylight from the orangery or conservatory into the rest of the property.

More and more people are choosing the coloured look…

Whether your french door is manufactured from aluminium or UPVC there are a multitude of colours and woodgrain finishes which cater for a wide variety of tastes. You may need your french doors to match existing windows and doors, or you may be replacing the whole set, in which case you have a very difficult choice to make between subtle and charming colours such as cream and chartwell green; bold and contemporary options that include black and grey; or oak and other wood-effect finishes.
