This is a fantastic opportunity to work for Conservatory Outlet, a market leader in the manufacturing of window, door, solid roof and conservatory products. If you have a good understanding of computer use with a higher than average level of computer knowledge and a strong desire to learn, this role could be just what you are looking for. You will be required to assist our customers and our onsite Senior Software Specialist to manage and develop the Window Fabrication System. You will support ongoing operations with the Window Fabrication System, deal directly with internal and external stakeholders to clarify and directly remediate or escalate issues and changes with the software system in line with best practice.
You will provide best practice guidance and support, embedding guidance from the ground up. You will be instrumental in driving improved working practices, removing duplication and streamlining systems.
You will work with the IT team resolving issues, assisting in the maintenance of critical quoting and manufacturing systems and be partially responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the software which runs all aspects of the business.

Summary of role

This is a significant role charged with assisting customers and the Senior Software Specialist in managing and developing the Window Fabrication System. Responsibilities are to:
• support in the ongoing operations with the Window Fabrication System, dealing directly with internal and external stakeholders to clarify and directly remediate or escalate issues and changes with Fabrication Software system in line with best practice;
• interact with dealers on a day-to-day basis, collating and addressing their issues, assisting them with processing challenges and helping them process more effectively;
• assist in maintenance (both proactive and reactive) of all company material lists;
• ensure that project deadlines are met, and work is to an excellent standard to ensure a positive experience of services to internal and external customers;
• be partially responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the Window Fabrication System which will interface in all aspects of the business. Reporting to the MD and Head of IT and working with the Senior Software Specialist, addressing any issues, potential issues that may cause any disruption to the normal workings of the business;
• continually develop both a personal and company understanding of best practice in the chosen Window Fabrication System;
• undertake break-fix activities on the Window Fabrication Software system for Conservatory Outlet and the dealer network (where required);
• assist in the development of a reporting platform and viable reports; and
• assist in implementation projects surrounding the Window Fabrication System.

Knowledge & Experience
• A strong understanding of computer use to a high level
• Experience in the manufacturing, quoting or design of windows and doors would be advantageous but not strictly required
• Experience of First-Degree-Systems Window Designer would be advantageous but not strictly required
• Exposure to working with, updating and managing Databases would be advantageous but is not strictly necessary
• Experience of being in a customer facing role, with previous experience of customer service
