No “Hard Sell” Here – A Pennine Testimonial

Upgrading your home can be a stressful experience… The seemingly endless options, the expense, the disruption – the list goes on. Add a pushy salesman to the mix and you’ve got the recipe for a real headache.

This was exactly what Diana Mahood was thrilled to avoid when she began her home improvement journey with Pennine. The “hard sell” that she had been expecting ultimately never arrived and, instead, she was left with a seamless process from start to finish.

“We chose Pennine initially because the sales representative at Dobbies Birtley pitched really well to my mother, much to my initial horror!”, explains Diana.

“We feared hours of hard selling, but it turned out to be a completely painless process. By the time the sales guys came out to visit our home we got the feeling they really understood us and what we wanted, and they were incredibly polite which always helps.”

To provide a little context, Diana lives with her husband and her mother, the trio choosing to spend the majority of their time in the Conservatory, the focal point of their home.

Following a kitchen renovation over the summer, Diana discussed the possibility of installing new French Doors to provide a little extra light and further access to the garden. From these discussions, the idea of a new Conservatory was birthed.

“We decided that more space would be worth considering especially if, with age, my mother needed to live downstairs, taking the front living room area as her bedroom. The larger Conservatory would essentially replace our lost living room.

“After we’d made initial contact with the Pennine team, a French Door specialist and a Conservatory specialist actually came out to visit us at the same time, we were happy enough to sign up for both!”

From there, Diana and her family were visited by a surveyor before work officially began on their home. In no time at all, they were treated to the sublime new conservatory and French doors that Diana’s mother had been promised back at Dobbies.

“The workmen, the backbone of the company, who were delegated the various stages of the build, were exemplary. Polite, efficient, very helpful and all went above and beyond. From start to finish the Pennine team provided a service and product of an exceptional standard.

“The end product is a fabulous, large Conservatory that makes you feel as if you are sat right in the middle of the garden, we couldn’t be happier!”
