Working as part of the Conservatory Outlet Group, which also encompasses retail giants Clearview Home Improvements (North West) and Pennine Home Improvements (North East), Asif brings with him a hugely impressive wealth of experience within IT and system support roles, having worked as part of the BMW Group at both their MINI and Rolls Royce manufacturing plants respectively. Taking his experience from several industries, Asif spent the last six years working alongside one of the fastest growing manufacturers in the UK.
In each of his previous roles, Asif has been able to leverage technology to create world class manufacturing facilities that provided complete visibility and transparency.
Within his new role, Asif will work to provide strategic and technical leadership that will enable Conservatory Outlet to reach its ambition of becoming a market-leader in the home improvement industry by evolving its capabilities for the next phase of growth.
When asked about his new position, Asif said: “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with one of the UK’s most reputable manufacturing companies, as we embark on an ambitious four-year plan to grow the business by a further 50% by 2024.
“I’m confident that, through the clever use of technology within our Wakefield manufacturing hub, we’ll be able to make better informed decisions and further improve our quality, output and efficiency. I can’t wait to get started.”
Greg Kane, CEO at Conservatory Outlet Group, continued: “It’s a real coup for us to be able to bring somebody of Asif’s calibre into the business as we look to improve every aspect of our manufacturing processes. With demand for our products greater than ever, we decided that now was the perfect time to introduce the position of Head of Software, which will form a crucial part of our IT department. It’s a decision that’s ultimately proved fruitful, as we’ve been able to secure Asif’s services in what I’m sure will be a hugely successful and prosperous appointment.”
