Based at the company’s Wakefield manufacturing hub, Daniel brings with him over 10 years’ experience within manufacturing procurement roles. Having worked for a number of industry heavyweights, Daniel spent two years as UK Purchasing & Contracts Manager, formalising purchasing strategies and championing a culture change for world class procurement.
In his new role, Daniel will be responsible for creating and implementing a purchasing strategy engineered to ensure optimal performance and price. Leading the existing Conservatory Outlet purchasing team, Daniel will maintain strategic supplier relationships and manage the development of contracts to ensure continuous improvement.
Daniel’s appointment is the third key managerial addition in as many weeks for Conservatory Outlet, following the appointment of Asif Younis as Head of Software and David Hickman as Health & Safety Manager. In the case of both Asif and David, their positions are within the Conservatory Outlet Group, which encompasses retail giants Clearview Home Improvements (North West) and Pennine Home Improvements (North East).
When asked about his new position, Daniel said: “Conservatory Outlet have built a formidable reputation within the home improvement industry and I’m delighted to be part of the team. I’ve built a wealth of knowledge across the past 10 years and look forward to putting this experience to good use in helping Conservatory Outlet achievement their lofty ambitions for the years ahead.”
Michael Giscombe, Managing Director at Conservatory Outlet, added: “Our procurement function is going to prove pivotal in our ambition of achieving 50% business growth across the next four years. We’re supremely confident that Daniel is the man to hone and develop our purchasing strategies during this time frame, helping us to achieve better outcomes for ourselves and, crucially, our valued customers. After a lengthy recruitment process, we’re delighted to have him on board.”
