Matthew Glover, Managing Director at Conservatory Outlet, has announced plans to hold a Sales Professional of the Year competition at next year’s Fabricator Installer Trade (FIT) Show following the continued success of the Wakefield firm’s Top Dog annual sales competition.
The FIT Show Sales Professional of the Year competition, structured in association with online lead generator Quotatis, will give sales men and women the opportunity to win a cash prize totalling £10,000, with £5,000 going to the winner and a further £5,000 to the winner’s employer.
Mr Glover, who has organised the FIT Show in partnership with long-time collaborator Paul Godwin and established Top Dog, has unveiled the format of the event, which aims to seek out, recognise and reward those that are literally at the ‘sharp end’ of the double glazing, door and conservatories industry, the sales people.
Through a series of stages, The FIT Show Sales Professional of the Year competition will filter and sort the entrants, eventually ending with 20 of the very best the industry can yield.
The final 20 will each be put through a series of tests in which they will have the opportunity to show off their sales abilities – and inabilities – to be judged by a team of some of the most skilled and respected experts in the business.
An additional prize of a one day sales master class worth £1500 from one of the UK’s best known professional sales trainers, Paul Clifton, will also be on offer to the winner.
The winner will be announced at the FIT Show Gala Awards dinner, which takes place in April 2013.
