We are supposedly on our way to summer, but as usual in Britain the weather has not quite got the memo. The supermarkets are selling BBQs and garden furniture but with the unstable weather not many people are braving the great outdoors. However, if you have spent a lot of time and money renovating your garden or even moving to a new home to get a nicer garden, you will want to be able to see and enjoy it. Now you could stand at your windows for hours on end or you could consider installing a set of French doors, or if your budget allows it you could add a conservatory to your home.
Conservatories are a fantastic way to enjoy your garden without catching a chill or getting rained on, which in the UK is always a bonus. The large windows allow the light in while still keeping the heat in. With everybody watching their energy bills it is always nice to know that your conservatory will be doing its part to keep your home warm.
Conservatories also come in a range of styles to allow you to fit your new purchase to your home. If your home has a more classic look then a conservatory in the more traditional Victorian style will suit the existing décor. On the other hand, if your home features more of a modern design then a bespoke conservatory might just be what you need. Bespoke conservatories have all the benefits of a traditional…

Last week saw over 170 exhibitors take part in the inaugural Fabricator and Installer Trade (FIT) show in Telford to great success, including Conservatory Outlet who became one of the first exhibiting companies to sign up for next year’s event.
Over the course of three days, almost 6,000 visitors descended upon The International Centre to witness the first industry exhibition dedicated to glass and glazing in more than five years.
Such was the level of audience response and buzz generated early on that Conservatory Outlet decided to rebook their 48sqm stand there and then, putting pen to paper on day two of the show.
The Wakefield firm were further persuaded to commit again after viewing a specially created promotional video officially launching FIT Show 2014 ‘The Next Installation’, unveiled by Creative Director Simon Iredale, at an exhibitor gathering attended by more than 600 people.
FIT Show 2013 was a triumph for Conservatory Outlet on two accounts.
It provided the double glazing and orangery specialists with a platform to launch a brand new product; Slimframe Aluminium, which was very extremely well received by existing Conservatory Outlet Dealers.
They also generated several solid enquiries from installers interested in becoming the next Conservatory Outlet Dealer; a network currently comprised of 21 separate home improvement companies.
Ben Wilson, Marketing Manager, at Conservatory Outlet commented:
“We decided to exhibit at The FIT Show instead of hosting our usual dealer conference. We had no expectations so far…

When it comes to home improvements there are very few that you will be able to see the massive benefit of aside from aesthetics. Double glazing is one of the most recognisable ways to shift your energy usage in a positive manner and this is due to their incredible ability to be thermal efficient all year round. They may well seem more beneficial in the winter months but when it comes to the warmer days you could already have a suitably heated home for the evening as your double glazing will have harvested the days rays from outside and kept them ready for you to enjoy for free all evening. When it comes to the winter you will already know that that is when you use the majority of your heat and energy. You may however be unaware that…
Many people will have heard of French doors but not necessarily know what makes them any different to any other sort of door. Well for starters, you only need to look at a set of French doors to see just how beautiful they are and how much they can add to the aesthetics of your home. The slim lines and stylish glazing incorporated into the frames makes them a cut above most door types.
Not to forget the many other key selling-points that French doors offer to the modern property owners such as the following:
Practicality
Whilst patio doors have an elegance all of their own, they will only offer a limited opening due to the sliding mechanism they work on. French doors can provide you with a complete and unrestricted opening which comes in useful when you’re looking to transport goods from one place to another via their entry point.
Versatile
There is a huge quantity of property owners who use French doors as a way of gaining easy access to their garden and patio area. But you can also use them inside the home as way of linking rooms together such as your living and dining room. You could even realistically get them fitted to a conservatory so that you can connect home and home extension in perfect harmony.
Maintenance-free
In the past, timber would be the primary material used to construct French doors and conservatories. As technology has progressed, other methods have been…
